What may be happening this week
In these weeks, the structure that will later become the heart may start working rhythmically and can sometimes be seen on an ultrasound. When it can be seen varies between pregnancies and machines.
A note for you
For the mother, this week may pass with thoughts of a first checkup. For the father or partner, putting that appointment on the calendar together can make this week a little lighter.
