How AI Is Used

Replies in the baby chat are generated by AI, written as if in your baby's voice. This is an imaginative bonding experience; your baby does not actually say these words. Daily baby notes and weekly stories are pre-written, reviewed texts.

Limitations

AI-generated content may contain information that is wrong, incomplete, out of date or not suited to your situation.

It should not be your only source for pregnancy, health, personal, legal or financial decisions. When you mention emergency symptoms, the chat answers with a fixed safety message, without AI, and points you to your care team.

Data Processing

When you use the baby chat, your message and limited app context (pregnancy week, character type, language, parent type, baby name, the last 6 messages in the chat, that day's baby note and, only if you turned it on in Settings, the last 3 captions under album photos) are processed by our AI provider, OpenAI, to generate a reply. Photos are never sent.

We recommend not entering unnecessary personal, identifying or sensitive medical information in the chat. See the Privacy Policy for details.
